How to repair an MSD Ignition Coil in a snow storm at nightfall

So you’re driving down the road at nightfall and your truck stops running.  You pop your hood an find a broken terminal on your aftermarket MSD ignition coil.  You have no electrical or duck tape, no tools, no crimps, just a lot of…….. you guessed it.  Here’s what you have to work with.

Hemastat

So you cut down the plastic housing on the coil, grab a screw from the Ashtray, and use the Leatherman to twist the screw between the plastic housing and the broken contact.  Then cut end off the Network cabling, cut out the green wire.  THIS IS IMPORTANT, IT MUST BE THE GREEN WIRE!  Strip the GREEN WIRE and wrap it around the top of the screw.  Slide the other end of the GREEN WIRE into the female spade connector.  Use the Leatherman to crimp the spade onto the other end of the GREEN WIRE.  Then use the Hemastat to hold the spade connector to the coil so it doesn’t vibrate off.

Then you have this.
